1、 Tank shape and specifications
In iron cans, the more common shapes are circular iron cans (vertical circular iron cans and flat circular iron cans), as well as special shaped iron cans such as polygonal iron cans, elliptical iron cans, and trapezoidal iron cans. When selecting the appearance of an iron can, factors such as the size and shape of the packaging, as well as cost should be considered. Compared to other shapes, circular iron cans are easier to manufacture, save materials during the production process, and have the largest volume among all tank containers, but their shape has no characteristics. Due to its unique shape, difficulty in manufacturing, high labor costs, and high consumables, special-shaped cans have a high overall cost. Considering economic principles, circular iron cans should be selected as much as possible when selecting the tank type, and special shaped iron cans can only be selected under special requirements.
The specifications of iron cans can be determined based on the standard specification series for general three piece cans. For iron cans with special requirements or unique designs, the specifications and models can be specified according to specific requirements. The process of determining the size of a three piece can is as follows:
(1) Determine the shape of the canned food according to the packaging requirements of the packaged goods;
(2) Calculate the required capacity based on the number of packages of the packaged goods, and calculate the tank capacity based on the filling rate of the packaged goods (approximately 85%~95%);
③ Finally, based on the calculation results, select the specifications, models, and specifications of the storage tank.
2、 Iron cans are divided into:
1. According to the different structures, it can be divided into three piece cans and two piece cans.
2. According to different materials, it can be divided into tin cans, steel cans, and aluminum cans.
3. According to the different sealing properties of the tank and the magnitude of internal pressure, it can be divided into pressurized tank and vacuum tank.
3、 The difference between a two piece can and a three piece can
Iron cans can be divided into two types: three piece cans, consisting of three parts: (1) bottom cover, (2) cylindrical body, and (3) top cover (with lip edge cover for beverages). A two piece tank consists of two parts: (1) a main body with a bottom cover; (2) Cover with your lips (opening).
A technique called double seam is used to connect the tank body and lid (top and bottom) and protect the contents from external contamination. The three piece can is made of rectangular thin plates and rolled into a cylindrical shape. There are two welding and electric welding methods.
At present, electric welding cans are relatively common on the market, and their market share is also relatively large. Due to their good sealing performance, they are widely used in food, beverage, and alcohol packaging. Two cans are further classified based on their processing method. Pull cans (pull cans, pull cans, and re pull cans [DRD cans]), DWI cans (pull cans and wall ironing cans), and TULC cans (stretch stretch iron cans).
